Bronte has over five years of public sector experience in a variety of roles.
Defined by a passion for collaboration, she is client-focused and specializes in using evidence-based, data-driven approaches to solve problems and make a positive impact. As a graduate student her thesis focused on municipal economic development in small Canadian communities. Bronte has worked on a variety of large projects including a county-wide talent attraction initiative and the facilitation of the Ontario 2020 Winter Olympic Games.

Influential Work

  • Conducted thesis research focused on economic development and social capital, adding new data municipal leaders can use to better support their local economic development
  • Designed a quantitative project on Airbnb host management success that can be used by hosts to be more successful
  • Coordinated with a diverse network of stakeholders including service agencies, municipalities, local businesses and volunteer organizations to plan and implement the County of Wellington Welcoming and Inclusion Survey, aimed at attracting new immigrants
  • Developed a strategic plan for a university faculty aimed at better connecting students to the local business and not-for-profit organisation communities
  • Managed a sporting venue during the Ontario 2020 Winter Games, training over 100 volunteers while sitting on the planning board.

Outside of Nous

Bronte holds a Master of Science in Management and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degrees. Her master’s thesis focused on the intersection between social capital and economic development.

Graduating first class standing, Bronte was the commencement speaker at her undergraduate ceremony. She led a study on Airbnb Host Management Success, which she presented at the Fall 2021 INFORMS Conference.

Bronte also volunteers tutoring high school students in various subjects, supporting them to meet their academic goals and setting them up for post-secondary success. She also served as the President of the Business Orillia Student Society, which ran business- and professional development-related events for university students.

Bronte likes to bake. It’s been almost two decades years and she is still trying to perfect her chocolate chip cookie recipe.
