Callum Vernon

Senior Consultant

Callum is a Senior Consultant with a passion for the application of economics to improve social outcomes.

He has an extensive academic background in economics, with a primary focus on policy analysis and evaluation. He also has several years of experience in the private sector, working in a high-stakes, data-driven environment for both private and public clients. He brings practical experience in performing risk assessments, analytical reviews and substantive sampling.

Influential work

Performed year-end auditing procedures for several ASX-listed entities; including revenue forecasting and analytics, impairment testing, ratio analysis, sampling and market analysis and benchmarking
Performed annual reviews on behalf of a government client to assess multiple private-sector organisations’ compliance with their public contracts.

Outside of Nous

Before his time at Nous, Callum was employed as an accountant in KPMG Sydney’s Audit and Assurance division, working across client sectors including government, banking, property and insurance. Prior to this he had worked with several organisations in the not-for-profit sector, including leading a group research project in rural India. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and is currently completing a Master of Applied Economics at the University of New South Wales.
