Chris combines experience in public policy and education to support clients to drive complex reform.
He has led project teams in and for education departments across Australia, through which he has had a lasting impact leading education improvement agendas. Chris’ experience and credibility as a former secondary school teacher are valued by both school and departmental staff and underpin his recognised strengths in designing and facilitating consultation processes across a complex stakeholder base.

Influential work

  • Worked with Australian jurisdictions to support workload reduction and workforce strategies in schools
  • Partnered with a First Nations community in Far North Queensland to deliver a holistic community development program
  • Developed and facilitated Queensland’s consultation strategy to inform national curricular reform
  • Led a team of world-renowned academics and adult learning experts to design and deliver a two-year professional learning program for Victorian school leaders and teachers
  • Project-managed Queensland state schools’ biggest change to senior schooling in 40 years, including project responses to COVID-19 disruptions.

Outside of Nous

Chris is undertaking postgraduate study in international and community development at Deakin University. He has a passion for human rights and empowerment through education, having taught in schools in Queensland, Nepal and the United Kingdom and volunteered with the United Nations Association of Australia, Edmund Rice Foundation and the Royal Children’s Hospital.

In his spare time...

Chris plays Aussie Rules football for the Sherwood Magpies. He plays golf and has hiked Mt Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp. He enjoys sunshine and saltwater, especially with his Labrador, Pooch.
