Jessica is a creative and analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems to achieve the best results for clients and communities. She has experience partnering with not-for-profit and private sector organisations and government agencies on growth strategy, data strategy, operating model design and organisational design.
She also has strong financial acumen and experience in business and digital strategy, having previously worked in creative agencies and the technology industry in marketing and product roles. Clients value Jessica’s ability to oscillate between big-picture thinking and detailed analysis while being an excellent communicator.

Influential work

  • Developed a data strategy for a domestic family violence service provider in the Northern Territory, prioritising five-year actions to lift the data practice’s maturity
  • Developed a target operating model and high-level future organisational structure for a private-sector naval ship maintenance company to ensure the right foundations were in place to support its growth strategy
  • Conducted a functional and efficiency review of an Australian Government data-focused agency, including qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess effectiveness against department priorities and resulting in significant re-organisation to align the agency to department strategy
  • Developed an operating model – including strategic priorities, organisational structure, enablers and culture change – for a state government department that had a significant reform agenda and structural changes post machinery of government
  • Developed a cost-benefit model to financially assess the implications of modernising and standardising a growing university’s course portfolio in line with its new 400-course strategy.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Jessica worked for Clemenger BBDO, Australia’s largest and most-awarded creative agency group. She has also worked as a summer account strategist in the business product team at Google and as a vacationer in risk consulting with Deloitte. Jessica has a strong interest in social impact work and has worked across cultures in Cambodia with a microfinance NGO and in Zambia with a health NGO; as well as with The Smith Family, teaching English to refugees.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Arts & Science) majoring in commercial law, marketing and sociology from the University of Sydney; and a Master of Finance & Management from the University of Melbourne.
