Mattan is an experienced Senior Consultant and admitted lawyer who has advised government departments, courts, universities and other education institutions on policy, organisational performance and strategy matters.

Influential work

Conducted a functional review of a large portfolio of government entities to identify opportunities for improved governance and efficiency
Supported a university with establishing and implementing a clean energy industry research division
Supported a superior court with an organisational review and transformation of its judicial support services
Advised a state education department on strategically leveraging government initiatives to address workforce shortages across priority industries.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Mattan worked as a legal consultant at an ASX-listed fintech organisation, working across regulatory, corporate governance and risk departments and communicating with regulators and stakeholders in Australia, the US and UK. He also gained experience as a law clerk at a commercial law firm, working on property, planning and business matters.

Mattan was admitted as a lawyer in June 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.
