Nadia’s experience in health and education gives her a unique combination of skills in projects that require collaboration between hospitals, universities and colleges.
She brings practical understanding of the health system, its policy and funding levers, and the realities of implementing initiatives and managing change at the regional and organizational level. Nadia has more than 15 years of consulting experience in the health, community and education sectors. She previously worked as a lead for hospital strategic initiatives.

Influential work

  • Conducted an organizational review and transformation for a $146 million regional health and community program in Ontario, which included changes to balance the budget and ensure a multi-year operating plan that delivered on its provincial mandate
  • Engaged in policy design, testing and evaluation for strategic Ontario government initiatives, including HSFR (Health System Funding Reforms), ECFA (Excellent Care for All), HBAM (Health Based Allocation Model), BSO (Behavioural Support Ontario) and provincial capacity planning
  • Undertook a service excellence transformation initiative at a U15 university in research administration, human resources, finance, IT and external relations to achieve more than C$105 million of sustainable annual savings and maintain the provision of all administrative services; also led the administrative and academic redesign of several faculties in the university, including the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
  • Led the service governance redesign of a large Canadian university including the development of a service excellence measurement framework with tailored metrics for each administrative portfolio.
  • Reviewed a specialty neurology program for the University Health Network, focused on program leadership, financial planning, performance monitoring, care model and stakeholder relationship management
  • Redesigned the physician model of care and compensation structure in several provinces

Outside of Nous

Nadia believes in giving back to the community, which has made her the person she is today. Nadia has volunteered at Hospice King-Aurora, provided evaluation support to the Aga Khan Health Board, served as a board member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders, and volunteered as a principal at the Richmond Hill Enhanced Learning Centre, providing support to students in math and English.

Nadia holds a Master of Science (Health Administration), a Certificate in Dispute Resolution and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University. She is a Certified Health Executive through the Canadian College of Health Leaders and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

In her spare time...

Nadia loves taking on home renovation projects and gardening. Prompted by her son’s recent challenge, Nadia has started running and is loving it!
