Influential work

  • Delivered a cultural competency training for the whole of Nous, providing a safe place to celebrate differences and learn about the importance of being trauma-aware and healing-informed
  • Led discussions to review with women safety services in the greater Darwin region, involving extensive consultations with the organisations staff, board and key external stakeholders
  • Influenced the Nous design of a model-of-care for the Territory Families detentions centre (Don Dale and Alice Springs)
  • Facilitated workshops to educate Queensland housing staff to ensure their confidence in delivering domestic and family violence training
  • Developed a census for the Banjima Trust in WA, supporting data sovereignty and ensuring it maintained, controlled, protected, developed and used data as it relates to their people.

In her spare time...

Selena enjoys staying healthy, connecting with family and exploring nature. She appreciates art and beautiful things – as well as a good book, fine weather, great food and a little outdoor music.
