Tim previously worked at the University of Queensland. His work there included project management of international development programs, managing concerts series and student administration. He was a Member of the Queensland Divisional Advisory Board of the Australian Red Cross and has over a decade of volunteering experience in youth development and supporting asylum seekers.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours in cello performance) and a Bachelor of Arts (international relations and Spanish), as well as a Diploma of Language (French).

Tim is a cellist and surfer, and fluent in Spanish and French.
