Nous Principal Claire Noone recently collaborated with The Mandarin on two pieces relating to regulation in a modern context.
In the article, ‘If we want an ideas boom we must shift the regulatory mindset’, Claire discusses the disjuncture between innovation and regulation, and how it could limit our future economy if not addressed.
“I am advocating that we turn the discussion around to encourage a new mindset that is about enabling innovation, rather than simply removing obstacles. This requires us to think differently about the regulatory framework and the practice of regulators.”

Claire also featured as a panellist in The Mandarin’s webinar ‘Rules for the modern regulator’. Other panellists were Delia Rickard, Deputy Chair at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, and John Stanton, CEO of Communications Alliance.
