Sydney event: Engaging vulnerable or disadvantaged young people in education
Sydney event: Engaging vulnerable or disadvantaged young people in education
Enabling teachers with positive education and trauma informed strategies is critically important for schools seeking to move the dial on students’ self‑regulation, relationships, growth and academic achievement.
Join Nous Group for an introduction to the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM), a leading evidence based approach to training, curriculum and strategies to engage vulnerable or disadvantaged young people in education.
The BSEM has been designed by teachers and education leaders for whole school staff, and focus’ on providing consistent, practical strategies for those important micro-moments in the classroom.
This event is an opportunity to:
- Hear from Tom Brunzell, international education expert and Senior Adviser, Education at Berry Street
- Hear directly from the Principal of a BSEM school, to understand how the approach works in practice
- Network with colleagues from across the education sector over drinks and nibbles.
