Jamie has extensive experience leading policy and strategy projects in an in-house capacity and as a consultant.
He currently leads Nous’ work in early childhood. Jamie’s skillset combines strategic thinking and problem-solving, practical project management to facilitate outcomes, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and sophisticated stakeholder engagement.

Influential work

  • Led a strategic review of birth to two-years Long Day Care services for a national early childhood education provider
  • Developed of a new integrated child and family service, including forming strategic partnerships with a national charity and a local authority and designing an innovative service model
  • Conducted a legislated review of the Australian Government Tuition Protection Scheme
  • Evaluated a local government mental health and wellbeing program to inform integrated commissioning decisions between local government and health commissioners
  • Reviewed inequalities among black and minority ethnic communities and staff for a UK regional health and care system
  • Led UK healthcare market entry for a global human services provider, including forming a major strategic partnership with a world-leading applied research centre and winning a multi-million pound tender to deliver a new National Health Service program.

Outside of Nous

Jamie has worked in policy and strategy roles across a range of sectors, including in government, social enterprise and industry. Previously he was head of strategy at Ingeus, a global provider of employment services, healthcare, youth services and apprenticeships. Prior to that he was with Goodstart Early Learning, Australia’s largest early childhood education and care provider.

Jamie holds a Master of Management (Economics) and Bachelors of Arts and Science from the University of Melbourne, and is a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner.

In his spare time...

Jamie enjoys chasing after his two-year-old daughter and sampling the cafes, playgrounds and markets of Melbourne’s inner north-west. He plays the occasional game of touch rugby, having previously represented Wales.
