From a culture of self-management to an environment in which people can bring their whole selves to work, Nous Group has always prided itself on offering a fantastic workplace. Now we are thrilled to have this once again recognised as a best place to work in the 2019 Great Place to Work Awards.
Nous placed in the top 10 for Australian businesses with between 100 and 999 employees in the Great Place to Work Awards, in results announced on August 27. This marks the fourth time we have been honoured in the awards in Australia (following 2013, 2015 and 2017) and follows two honours in the Asian category (2016 and 2018). Nous has opted to enter the study every two years.
Tim Orton, Nous Group Founder and Managing Director, said the Great Place to Work result showed that Nous was continuing to create a culture that allowed people to thrive.
“In recent years Nous has grown steadily, expanding into new practices, new sectors and new locations. Throughout this expansion we have sought to get better as we get bigger, ensuring we build on the things that make Nous great.
“This recognition from Great Place to Work shows we are continuing to offer an engaging work experience to our team of more than 400 Nousers spread across eight locations in Australia as well as our office in the UK. This quality work environment supports us to deliver superb results to our network of clients.
“I am pleased that so many people are building fulfilling careers at Nous. Just a few months ago I announced six internal promotions to the position of Principal, as well as our recruitment of several highly-regarded new Principals, including Libby Hackett, Tim Marney, Franca Venetico and Peter Horne.”
The award is based on the views of Nous employees who were asked to complete a confidential survey as part of the workplace assessment process. The Best Places to Work awards are based on an independent study coordinated by the Great Place to Work Institute.
Sally Pritchard, Chief People Officer at Nous Group, said the Great Place to Work Award showed that Nous was standing out from other professional services firms.
“Nous has always done things differently. We have a much higher rate of women in senior positions, support all our people to achieve a sustainable work-life blend, and are working towards achieving a diversity of staff in our Australian offices that reflects the full diversity of the Australian population.
“When people join Nous they know they are working for an organisation that cares about them. We have considered every step of the selection and employment process to make sure it is consistent with our values.”
