As a registered psychologist with a Master of Organisational Psychology, her academic research background and understanding of human behaviour enables her to maintain a scientist-practitioner approach, using evidence-based methodologies and tools to inform her work. Alina is a strong advocate for the application of human-centred design (HCD) principles when working with clients to deeply understand their needs or problems statements and create innovative solutions with people in mind.
Prior to Nous, Alina worked in the Macquarie Group’s Risk Culture team, which provided a detailed internal view of how different divisions function in the financial sector, how aspects of a team's governance or culture can impact risk and performance, and how to manage sensitive subject matters with senior stakeholders. She also worked as an Experience Design Consultant, using HCD principles to solve for different user needs and business challenges. She remains a strong advocate for the application of a HCD lens to create purposeful solutions with people in mind.
Alina is also a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds a Master of Organisational Psychology from Macquarie University.
Alina loves being in nature and bush walking or climbing mountains with her partner. She also looks forward to being a pup-parent soon.
