Human-centred, creative, and curious, Ben works collaboratively with individuals, teams, and organisations to build capability and create the conditions for people to thrive.
He brings more than eight years of experience and is confident in engaging with all levels of stakeholders, having worked across higher education, government, companies and not-for-profit organisations. Ben brings expertise in organisation and leadership development, strategic planning, facilitation, design, and managing and leading change. He has worked across higher education, violence prevention, health, agriculture and trade.
Influential work
- Led work to build organisational, leadership and people and culture capability at GoSource, a Canberra-based digital product company, involving co-designing Objectives and Key Results; establishing governance and decision-making processes; and implementing staff engagement surveys, development planning and performance review processes
- Designed, developed and delivered a virtual 12-month staff development program for more than 100 Australian National University (ANU) IT staff
- Led more than 400 staff, students and community stakeholders in developing ANU’s first Sexual Violence Prevention Strategy, including interviews, systems mapping, design workshops and online engagements
- Co-designed and piloted primary prevention initiatives to contribute to rendering ANU’s campus free from violence
- Contributed to the development of a leadership strategy and development roadmap to uplift leadership capability across all levels of ANU.
Outside of Nous
Prior to joining Nous, Ben led strategic and organisation development projects at GoSource, a Canberra-based digital product company. He has also worked for ANU, where he led and supported strategic initiatives across people and culture, violence prevention, student engagement and IT. He also worked for the University of Sydney on co-design projects about the future of mental healthcare in Australia.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and Bachelor of Science from ANU. He is currently completing a Master of Design Futures at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. His research explores the intersection of design, organisational development and trauma-informed approaches to care and change.
In his spare time...
Ben enjoys reading, cooking, and nature. His idea of a good time is good food shared with loved ones. Ben is a yoga and meditation practitioner and teacher.
