Camilla Lonsdale

Director
Camilla is a Director with a focus on public policy. She has worked across a mixture of public policy and organisational change projects and has a strong background in health, human services and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs.

Camilla’s passion lies in supporting vulnerable and underrepresented people and communities to distil their solutions into implementable policy. She enjoys the challenge of developing bespoke and usable solutions for clients within the bounds of legislative and policy requirements.

Influential work

  • Reviewed the performance of eleven Native Title Representative Bodies for the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and National Indigenous Australians Agency, including identifying individual and comparative efficiencies of each organisation’s operating model
  • Supported an Australian Government department to design and implement a procurement strategy for a national domestic and family violence hotline
  • Supported the New South Wales (NSW) Department of Communities and Justice to develop a detailed design for system transformation of the NSW children and family system
  • Supported the NSW Department of Communities and Justice to design its Futures Planning and Support program, which supports young people to transition to adulthood from out-of-home care
  • Supported the National Mental Health Commission to develop a National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Monitoring and Reporting Framework for is Fifth National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan.

Outside of Nous

Camilla holds a Master of International Security Law from Australian National University, during the study of which she was selected for the Geneva Program on International Organisations. She also holds a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice from University of NSW.

In her spare time Camilla enjoys walking her dog through Sydney parklands and discovering new podcasts.
