His roles have spanned and combined evaluation, research, treatment and training, with a particular focus on integrating knowledge into insights and action. He draws upon his diverse background to engage with and inhabit stakeholder perspectives and find precise and practical solutions.
Prior to joining Nous, David led evaluation work in workplace mental health wellbeing. Before that, he'd examined addiction from numerous angles, exploring new ways to apply the evidence-base and championing the role of lived experience. He holds honours degrees in English and psychology and a master’s degree in the International Programme in Addiction Studies, jointly conferred by Kings College London, University of Adelaide and Virginia Commonwealth University (USA).
Although David has absorbed Melbourne’s obsession with food, he happily drinks instant coffee. He loves music and film: engage him in a conversation about Twin Peaks at your peril.
