Her experience advising to higher education administrators and students has provided her with a unique perspective on international student experience and learning strategy. As a recent Dean's List Scholar graduate from the University of Toronto, Janita is passionate about public health and utilises her skills in research, reviews and facilitation to improve service outcomes.
Janita is a recent University of Toronto graduate with a specialisation in global health and an additional major in cell molecular biology and a minor in psychology. Selected as a youth delegate to represent her home country of Thailand for the United Nations Economic & Social Council Youth forum at the age of 16, Janita has had a strong passion for equity, education, and health systems from an early age.
Prior to joining Nous, Janita worked at the University of Toronto as an academic facilitator, lecturing and educating students to support and enhance their learning strategies and skills. She also worked with the University Health Network in a novel research project examining stem cell behavior in spinal cord injuries. Janita holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Toronto.
Janita enjoys spending time outdoors and improving her guitar skills. As a curious traveller with an international background, she has lived in six different countries across three continents.
