Katerina is an accomplished former public servant who supports clients in domains including health, investment and economics.

She brings proven policy and program management skills and extensive operational experience in life sciences and energy projects. Katerina has advanced project management skills, change management experience and strategic and negotiating capabilities. She complements her technical abilities with a strong capacity to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders. 

Influential work

  • Developed the strategy for the investment functions of the newly created Breakthrough Victoria, tasked with investing $2 billion on behalf of the Victorian Government  
  • Managed the $100 million contribution from the Australian and Victorian governments toward the $500 million Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain pilot, one of the world's largest hydrogen projects  
  • Oversaw a $4 million contribution from the Future Industries Fund to establish the Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre, focused on drug optimisation  
  • Prepared and implemented a regulatory impact statement for the Cancer (Reporting) Regulations 2012 and for new regulations 
  • Participated in numerous consultancies, including evaluating the Australian Better Health Initiative (ABHI), establishing the current use and projected future use of allied health assistants, developing alcohol management plans, and evaluating the Northern Territory Illicit Drug Diversion Strategy. 

Outside of Nous

Katerina has previously served in the Victorian Government in roles focused on investment (with Breakthrough Victoria, Invest Victoria and the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources) and on health (with the Department of Health). 

She has diverse academic experience, including a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, a scholarship to Lund University in Sweden to study advanced biochemistry, and a scholarship to study the Russian language at Moscow State University.  

She has also participated in programs run by the Australian Major Projects Leadership Academy and the Victorian Public Service Commission. 

In her spare time...

Katerina enjoys reading, music, yoga, beach, walks in nature and travel, as well as spending time with friends and family.
