She has researched and presented on asylum-seeking for LGBTI+ individuals in Australia and the Netherlands and provided ethics training at the Ethics Office of the UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency). Lotte also has experience working for two non-government organisations based in Switzerland, as well as UNAIDS (the joint United Nations program on HIV/AIDS) and a digital advertising and consulting agency, Wunderman-Bienalto.
Lotte holds a Master of Arts (development studies) from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva Switzerland and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences from University College Ultrecht (UCU), the Netherlands.
She was co-founder of the Queer Alliance UCU, the first LBGTQ organisation at UCU, advocating for inclusion and representation of LGBTQ students; and Vice Chair and Project Leader of Enactus UCU, an international network of student led social entrepreneurship.
Lotte likes to stay active and spend time outdoors – climbing, swimming or running. She also enjoys going to gigs, making her own peanut butter and having a beer with friends.
