He was responsible for growing a boutique technology consulting practice from the ground up in Australia and has deep understanding of the resources and mining industries. He has led large teams with ultimate responsibility for customer outcomes, thought leadership and product and service partnerships. He has delivered technology-led transformations, including enterprise program and change management and commercial deals and negotiations related to technology strategic procurement. Mayank enjoys solving operational problems through technology.
Mayank started his career as a programmer for DHL, overhauling the customer experience through booking, pricing and track and trace. He also helped implement the first ever outsourcing of the core IT systems used by Volvo distribution network in Europe as a way to cut costs during the 2008 financial crisis. He also helped H&M with a market entry strategy for a big Asian country and recommended a cross-agency approach for NSW Treasury, saving $80 million annually on IT spend through vendor contract rationalisation across technology domains.
Mayank holds a Bachelor of Technology (computer engineering) and a Master of Business Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
Mayank likes great romantic poetry, unwinding in nature, playing chess and basketball and hitting the gym. He also enjoys dancing and spending quiet time with family.
