Michael Natzler

Consultant
Michael is passionate about public policy, having cut his teeth in higher education at an award-winning UK think tank, where he led research projects, delivered events and speeches, and collaborated with higher education thought and senior leaders.

He also draws on experiences interning in journalism, publishing and academic research. Outside of Nous, Michael is a musician, linguist and frequent volunteer, running London’s largest charity networking group, London Young Charity Professionals.

Influential work

  • Led the research stream into the multifaceted role of China in UK higher education at Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI), a leading UK think tank
  • Conducted a ground-breaking and in-depth research project into students' experiences of sexual health, relationships and understanding of consent
  • Managed and grew the presence of the UK's leading higher education policy insight blog, reaching wider audiences and covering more diverse topics
  • Relaunched and runs the London Young Charity Network of more than 2,500 members, organising networking and speaker events.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Michael worked at HEPI, the UK's leading higher education policy think tank, where he managed the widely read daily policy blog, rubbed elbows with senior leaders across higher education and wrote and presented presenting on key and emerging policy areas from sexual health to student engagement, China and data security. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Bristol.

In his spare time...

Michael enjoys playing squash, going for walks, playing piano, curling up with a book and learning languages.
