He is passionate about using data to provide impactful solutions to big problems. Michael spent eight years in academic medical research evaluating the effectiveness of healthcare interventions. He has led international collaborations, published research in leading peer-reviewed medical journals, and produced reports for global health organisations. He has presented his research nationally and internationally at conferences and via media outlets.
Prior to joining Nous, Michael completed a Doctor of Philosophy at UNSW, focusing on improving the use of analgesic medicines for low back pain. He submitted his thesis in January 2023.
Michael also holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from UNSW. He was awarded The University Medal in Exercise Physiology.
Michael enjoys staying physically active in the gym or a dance class, going to the theatre, and watching Formula One car racing.
