Sarah has over 12 years’ experience in the business events industry. During this time she led complex projects, including conferences, congresses, trade shows, forums, roadshow workshops, virtual annual general meetings, online webinars, marketing activities and PR initiatives.

She has developed strong organisational skills to ensure projects are completed within deadlines and communication is consistent, while building strong stakeholder and client relationships to ensure strategy agreement.

Influential work

  • Delivered the Visit Victoria Victorian Tourism Conference, attracting over 900 industry partners the largest to take place in Australia since early 2020 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
  • Curated and managed – along with 29 Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) partners – 14 tours, showcasing unique Melbourne and Victorian venues and attractions to international buyers
  • Managed the sales and execution of the largest stand on the show floor at the Asia Pacific Meetings & Events event, incorporating 18 partners
  • Introduced and contributed to innovative CPA Australia membership engagement activities and assisted with the release of the new software CVENT.

Outside of Nous

Sarah spent close to two years working at the Melbourne Convention Bureau, a business development organisation with the core function of securing international and national conferences for Victoria. She also worked at CPA Australia, one of the world’s largest accounting bodies with a global membership of more than 163,000 members working in 125 countries. Prior to travelling around Australia Sarah worked for Waldron Smith Management an Events Agency for over six years after working overseas as an accounts executive running forums and conferences throughout Europe.

Recently Sarah strengthened her digital skills by taking part in the Professional Convention Management Digital Event Strategist certification.

In her spare time...

Sarah enjoys taking her two sausage dogs to the beach, socialising with friends, going to the gym and running. She obtains relaxation after a busy day doing yoga and meditation.
