She brings deep expertise in health systems and policy, as well as human services, particularly related to violence, abuse and neglect. She also works in defence, education and financial services. Simone’s work focuses on working with senior executives and managers to lead large-scale organisational reviews, major system reforms, policy and program reviews and evaluations, strategic planning, and policy development.
Prior to joining Nous, Simone worked at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra and Manila. Before that, she held health-related roles in Canada and Kenya in the areas of women’s health and infectious diseases. She has also undertaken research on health issues faced by Aboriginal populations in Australia and Canada.
Simone has a Master of International Public Health from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Queensland. She has also studied at Queen’s University in Canada and Columbia University in New York.
Simone enjoys visiting family in Queensland and Canada and enjoying Sydney’s coastline with runs, ocean swims, snorkelling, paddle boarding and (attempting to) surf.
