She has excellent research and communication skills, which she uses to analyse and solve complex problems. She is passionate about delivering positive outcomes in health policy, service delivery and health research.
Prior to Nous, Susan was a Development Support Manager in the South Western Sydney Local Health District. In this role, she liaised with health researchers, clinicians and executives to support governance and facilitate medical research projects. Previously, she was the Policy and Communications Officer for the Council of Academic Public Health Institutions Australasia (CAPHIA), a non-government organisation for tertiary public health education and research. She has also worked for the Australian Bureau of Statistics and as a research assistant in population health.
Susan completed a PhD from the Australian National University, in which she analysed how to allocate limited health care resources fairly. She also has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science (Psychology).
Susan enjoys travel and reading science fiction.
