Influential work

  • Analysed the regulatory compliance process for a major Australian bank’s institutional banking division, advising on and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Developed and analysed performance monitoring dashboards for a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company to identify areas of strength and weakness for sales optimisation and growth
  • Led advisory on the acquisition and operation of an additional property to support not-for-profit Flying Fox’s expansion by conducting financial valuation and developing an operating strategy
  • Led research and evaluation of the Australian mining industry to develop a market-entry strategy for the adoption of not-for-profit Mining Shared Value’s local procurement reporting mechanism.

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, William interned in EY’s financial services risk management team, developing risk-mitigation strategies for several clients in Australia’s banking and capital markets, wealth and insurance sectors. He was previously a finance intern at L’Oréal responsible for sales analysis and growth. He worked at Monash University as a student services officer and a collections specialist at Commonwealth Bank.

William was awarded a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from Monash University. At university, William was a team leader and project consultant at 180 Degrees Consulting advising on several projects for not-for-profit clients. He was also vice president of the Monash Accounting Students Association and assistant marketing director at Impetus Consulting Group. Additionally, he was a Monash Business School Peer Mentor.

In his spare time...

William enjoys exploring Melbourne’s restaurant and bar scene, playing tennis with friends, hiking, supporting the Carlton Blues and seeking new travel opportunities.
