He enjoys in-depth and big-picture analysis and is enthusiastic about using learnings from different sectors and human-centred design to create positive social impact.

Influential work

  • Substantially contributed to winning tenders to deliver high-profile UK government and NHS outsourcing opportunities, including over £150 million of employability and health contracts; through writing complex multi-stage bid responses, research and extensive stakeholder engagement
  • led service design workstreams within multidisciplinary bid teams, building commercially viable operating models to support a provider enter the UK integrated lifestyle services market
  • developed evidence-based proposals for tendering to deliver devolved probation services, providing in-house advice to a major prime contractor on the case for investment
  • conducted in-depth research, competitor analysis and stakeholder consultation to support an incumbent provider rebid the UK government flagship youth programme, including facilitating a co-design workshop with staff and third sector partners to widen the programme’s appeal to hard-to-reach young people.

Outside of Nous

Before Nous, Dan worked as a strategy and business development for Ingeus, a leading provider of transformative public services for UK government. In this role he gained cross-sector experience in employability, offender rehabilitation, preventative health and youth services; and developed skills in designing services for people with complex needs. Whilst at Ingeus, Dan also contributed to the company’s successful reaccreditation as a ‘B Corporation’, a movement of profit-with-purpose companies; and worked to raise awareness of socially and environmentally responsible business practices.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in history) from the University of Cambridge.

In his spare time...

Dan is a committed member of Goodgym Newham, a running and volunteering charity; occasionally wakes up for parkrun; and enjoys cooking veggies.
