Max is a recent mathematics and accounting and financial management graduate from the University of Sheffield, with modules ranging from Probability Modelling to Graph Theory.
He has worked as an Audit Trainee, during which time he balanced studying to be a Chartered Accountant with being a first-time dad. During his time at Nous, Max has drawn on his quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to help advise university leaders on critical strategic decisions.

Outside of Nous

Max previously worked as an Audit Trainee for BDO, performing analytical procedures on balance sheet and income statement accounts. In this role, he worked with several UK-listed financial services firms. His other work experience includes private equity and corporate finance internships.

During his university study of a Bachelor of Arts (mathematics and accounting and financial management) at the University of Sheffield, Max had a role in the Investment Society, in which he managed a fund of more than £250,000. He also completed the Reykjavik Marathon in 2017.

In his spare time...

Max’ baby daughter takes up most his free time, but he also enjoys climbing and playing tennis.
