Influential work

  • Devised an analytics strategy to cleanse, integrate and extract data from disparate maritime databases, and used external tools (SQL, VBA) to produce robust analyses to achieve a categorised list of managed systems and services
  • Created an asset tracking tool and an evaluation case study for use in a Defence bid proposal
  • Produced a service pitch presentation for an internal client involving cost and revenue estimations
  • Supported the acquisition of new client work and the development of managed and professional services from an asset management standpoint within Downer’s Capability and Asset Management team
  • As a project manager, led a group of eight student consultants to plan the expansion of the 1951 Coffee Company into the Seattle and San Diego markets through comparative market research analysis.

Outside of Nous

Musa is passionate about sustainability and the future of energy consumption. This led him to be sponsored by the University of California (UC) Berkeley Chemical Engineering Department to complete a project on the potential reprocessing of dining hall food waste as biofuel feedstock. He was also a member of a research lab engaged in novel lithium battery research and focused on improving energy density.

Musa holds a Bachelor of Science (chemical engineering) from UC Berkeley.

In his spare time...

Musa is an avid Formula One, soccer and basketball fan, and particularly enjoys playing squash. He keenly follows the financial markets and occasionally dabbles in value investing.
