Will is a lateral thinker who leverages his experiences across the public service, audits and evaluations to analyse complex multi-disciplinary challenges and generate nuanced solutions.
He has experience applying quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques and has coordinated and led stakeholder engagements with a range of organisations, including businesses, industry groups and government agencies. He is adept at analysing and synthesising complex and often confusing data points into meaningful themes and insights.

Influential work

  • Conducted a mid-term review of the Medical Research Future Fund initiative to inform its administration for the next five years
  • Developed a first-of-its-kind enterprise framework for an Australian Government department to support collection, analysis and reporting of the department’s performance
  • Reviewed the operating model of an Australian Government unit and developed a new operating model and a 12-month implementation plan
  • Coordinated the preparation and delivery of a business case for a genomics information management system, including a bespoke, modular financial model
  • Developed strategic and operational change management products to support a major transformation project across a major Australian Government Department, including a PowerBI dashboard.

Outside of Nous

Prior to Nous, Will worked in the Australian Public Service for three years. He also worked for several years at the St Kilda Football Club and the Canberra Raiders Rugby League Club across membership and retail operations.

Will holds a Bachelor of Commerce (accounting) and a Bachelor of Science (genetics) from Monash University. He has keen interest in the intersection of the two disciplines and enjoys opportunities to leverage his knowledge and skills across them. During his time at Monash, Will worked in a research lab to develop and validate a new method for quantifying bacteriophages, viruses that infect bacteria.

In his spare time...

Will is a sports fanatic, he plays in multiple social sports teams and is a Saints tragic. He also enjoys listening to folk music (his favourite artists are the Little Quirks) and dabbles in playing the ukulele.
