Influential work
- Re-imagined a Go8 university’s research service operating model and project-managed a major change process to improve the efficiency and effectivity of research support services
- Developed a business plan for a collaborative university institute, designed to engage with industry, community and government to identify local challenges and deliver education and research with social and economic benefits for the region
- Analysed state-wide survey data to identify opportunities to ease teachers’ administrative workloads and developed associated strategy to reduce schools’ workloads
- Led engagement with home educating families to inform recommendations to ensure the regulation and support of home education in Queensland was fit-for-purpose
- Supported an Australian education department to refine its program design and develop practical monitoring and evaluation approaches, leading to staff capability uplift and improved outcomes for students in state schools
Outside of Nous
Steph is currently an Honorary Professional Fellow with University of Technology Sydney.
Prior to Nous, Steph founded a music education studio where she taught students of all ages from her home studio and led the string program for a local school. She also won the Marketing Discipline Group Prize for Best Woman Graduate with a Marketing Specialisation and competed internationally with the UTS Case Team.
In her spare time...
Steph is a violinist and looks for every opportunity to play or teach music. On weekends you’ll find her kayaking, baking sourdough or painting.
