Influential work

  • Worked with disability advocacy organisation Queensland Advocacy Incorporated helping to the Legal Affairs and Safety Committee of Queensland Parliament understand how the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture could be implemented in Queensland in a disability-aware way
  • While working with the Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect (R2P), applied the R2P framework to develop the first atrocity crimes risk assessment for Bangladesh, identifying core areas of risk and concern.

Outside of Nous

Previously Aidan has worked on federal elections, taught English as a foreign language, and worked in human rights advocacy. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.
