Ellen van Beukering

Ellen recently graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Science (genetics) and a Bachelor of International Security Studies (peace and conflict studies).

Her work close to government inspired her interest in Australia’s domestic and foreign affairs, and she is passionate about health and the environment and promoting positive change in these sectors. She brings strong analytical and interpersonal skills and is confident liaising with stakeholders of all levels.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Ellen worked for the Department of the House of Representatives, where she gained a strong understanding of parliamentary culture and proceedings. During university, she completed an internship at the Canberra Hospital in the genetic counselling unit, further strengthening her interest in health. Ellen was also given the opportunity to further develop her analytical and written communication skills as the 2021 YAIA Australian Foreign Policy Fellow.

In her spare time...

Outside of work, Ellen lives an active lifestyle and enjoys hiking, camping, snow sports and riding her motorbike.
