Gene brings more than five years of management consulting and professional experience, predominantly with public and higher education sector clients, and is confident engaging with all levels of stakeholders having supported teams and led workstreams to advise governments and not-for-profit organisations across large and complex projects.
He brings expertise in strategy development, transformation and implementation, service and operating model design, program and policy evaluation and organisational review. He has worked across education, environment and agriculture, emergency management and human services.

Influential work

  • Developed an accommodation strategy to right-size the Victorian Fisheries Authority’s property portfolio and reduce operating costs
  • Established and led the Project Management Office to support Emergency Management Victoria initiate the implementation of the new National Fire Danger Rating System in Victoria
  • Reviewed state-funded educational learning technology platform to inform the Department of Education and Training’s decisions around future investment in the program
  • Conducted assessment to identify and address areas of heightened modern slavery risk within Forensicare’s supply chain.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Gene gained more than five years of professional and management consulting experience, predominantly working with clients in the Victorian public sector. The types of work and projects in which he has been involved include strategy development, service and operating model design, transformation and implementation, program and policy evaluation and organisational review.

Gene holds a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) from Monash University and is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner.

In his spare time...

Gene enjoys getting involved in lots of fitness activities – often with friends –, including weights, running, swimming and trail walking. He also enjoys seeing live music gigs.
