George has a passion for the health system, having worked for multiple years in clinical medicine in Victoria during the COVID-19 pandemic and more recently in public health in the Northern Territory. He is approachable and enjoys engaging in a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Outside of Nous, George has had significant involvement in the health industry. He has worked in clinical medicine at Alfred Health in Victoria and as a research officer at the Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin. He has received recognition for his support of his colleagues during the COVID-19 pandemic.
George has also volunteered as a teacher in Vietnam, as well as at aged care facilities in Melbourne. He is currently completing a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University and is linked to two ongoing research projects at Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin. He also holds a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) from Monash University.
George has a passion for fiction writing and is finishing a film script. He plays in various team sports in Darwin and plays guitar.
