She is a qualified economist with master’s degrees in business and international relations and an effective program, project and people leader. Katarina is naturally curious, with advanced research skills; and is always looking for answers beyond the “what”, ‘who”, “when” and “where”, exploring the full context and the “how” and “why” angles. She is a forward-thinking, future-oriented, big-picture innovator with strong ethical values and a commitment to a positive economic, cultural, environmental and social impact.
Prior to joining Nous, Katarina spent over a decade in the higher education sector working with Macquarie University and UWA. Moreover, she has had a parallel career in the recreational and high-performance sport sectors, being a former elite athlete before transitioning into coaching, officiating and mentoring. Katarina established and ran a not-for-profit sporting club in Sydney and served as Vice-President and a Board Member of Artistic Swimming Australia, the sport’s national body.
Katarina holds Masters of International Business and of International Relations from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor of Economics, (international relations) from the University of Economics, Bratislava, Slovakia.
Katarina loves spending time exploring natural, cultural and scientific wonders with her young family; or being immersed in a book, lost in her garden or having a laugh with friends.
