Kelsey is an avid problem-solver with experience in human services, justice and government.
She is keenly interested in the nexus between scientific and technological advancement and socio-economic development, applying quantitative and qualitative skillsets to understand the complex causal relationships underpinning organisational challenges. Prior to joining Nous, Kelsey worked in the higher education sector delivering engagement campaigns for regional students.

Influential work

  • Engaged with government and sector stakeholders to understand the human impacts of justice reforms in the Northern Territory (NT) to support their implementation
  • Facilitated a workshop for a domestic and family violence service provider in Alice Springs, bringing together women’s safety workers from the crisis accommodation, outreach and administration teams to assist staff in translating the principles set out in the organisation’s good practice guidelines
  • Worked with a large NT disability service provider to evaluate a pilot program to support the discharge of National Disability Insurance Scheme-eligible patients with complex needs out of hospital into medium-term accommodation
  • Delivered three early intervention campaigns aimed at vulnerable students considering withdrawal, deferral, or suspension of study at a leading regional university.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous Kelsey worked as a student experience mentor at the University of the Sunshine Coast. The role involved working alongside human services and business development staff to deliver ongoing student engagement campaigns. Prior to this, Kelsey worked as a parts interpreter in the automotive industry. She has also served in leadership roles at various community sporting clubs, most significantly as a committee member at University of Western Australia Netball prior to relocating to the eastern states.

Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Science (biotechnology/food security) from the University of the Sunshine Coast.

In her spare time...

Kelsey loves exploring nature; especially scuba diving, snorkelling and bush walking. She also enjoys cooking for her family and playing community sports.
