Laura combines a background in law and public health with more than 10 years of health and education consulting experience across Australia, the UK and now Canada.
Laura specialises in healthcare strategy, policy, organisational reviews and evaluation, and change. Laura works with clients across the health system, including government departments, primary health networks, health services and community providers. She has worked extensively in mental health.

Influential work

  • Led the development of strategic plan for a leading metropolitan tertiary hospital, involving significant staff and consumer consultation
  • Led the development of two strategic plans for related laboratories in a leading research institute
  • Led the evaluation of the Victorian HeadtoHelp hubs and Adult Mental Health Centre Trial directly informing the rollout of standardised intake and referral tools, and subsequent hubs
  • Project managed the development of a statewide mental health service and capital plan
  • Reviewed the attributes of healthcare organisations that are high performers in person-centred care to produce focused, practical and actioned-orientated information that can be translated into consistent and measurable practice by other organisations.

Outside of Nous

Laura previously worked as a commercial solicitor supporting major projects across a range of industries, including government. She has also worked in strategy and planning at a major metropolitan hospital. 

Laura holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Health Sciences (Public Health) (Honours) from The University of Adelaide.

Laura enjoys the outdoors, hiking and running – though mostly running after her young family!
