Marcus is a multi-disciplinary consultant who demonstrates strong critical thinking, initiative, and communication skills.
Through his experience as a consultant and former political staffer, Marcus has developed a unique understanding of policy development and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Influential work
- Conducted performance reviews of 13 Native Title Representative Bodies and prepared a report on systemic issues in native title
- Modelled the direct and indirect impact of untrustworthy financial advisors on Australia’s economy
- Analysed Australia’s high-performance computing landscape, identifying strategic considerations to inform NCRIS’ 10-year strategic roadmap
- Delivered seven workshops to support the development of Australia’s Sustainable Ocean Plan
- Reviewed the measures to prevent and respond to incidents of sexual harm at an Australian University
- Evaluated the Covid-19 Point of Care Testing program in First Nations communities
- Developed an outcomes framework for Australia’s financial counselling sector
Outside of Nous
Prior to joining Nous, Marcus worked in the parliamentary and electorate offices of a federal member of parliament.
He completed a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics and Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) at ANU, graduating in 2021. During his studies Marcus led a team of six students consulting with a south coast Indigenous corporation on how to improve its biennial cultural festival
Marcus also participated in an overseas internship in Fiji, working for a microfinance social enterprise.
