He has worked extensively in regional and remote parts of Western Australia (WA) and has engaged with Aboriginal leaders, service providers and vulnerable populations. Michael is a critical thinker with strong interpersonal skills and has been recognised for the candour and curiosity that he brings to engagements.
Prior to joining Nous as a University of WA Bachelor of Commerce graduate, Michael studied economics and accounting and was the valedictorian at the University of Western Australia. Michael has previous experience as the Treasurer and Finance Manager of a small Perth-based charity that aims to break the stigma surrounding homelessness, and now sits on their Advisory Board.
During university he placed competed in the Microsoft Protege Case Competition, where his team placed in the top 16 teams nationally. Michael was also named as a Top 100 Future Leader.
Michael keeps fit and socialises by playing hockey, and enjoys spending time at the beach and playing board games.
