He has previous experience in the technology and financial services sector and an educational background in economics, finance and statistics.

Influential work

Spearheaded driver incentive campaigns for Australia and New Zealand airports for a rideshare market leader, resulting in an average incremental gross booking of AUD$10,000 per week per airport
Aided the demerger of a financial services company’s capital markets arm from its parent company
Analysed the current state of technology fluency of management consulting firms and constructed a point-of-view and roadmap according to the baseline level of knowledge required
Led a team of student consultants running semester-long projects with start-ups in industries including financial services and technology.

Outside of Nous

Prior to Nous, Nelson was an associate in the Rider Operations team at Uber, primarily working with airports and venues to develop the travel and partnerships division. During his studies he was also involved in student societies such as BusinessOne and Enactus.

Nelson holds a Bachelor of Commerce (finance and economics) and a Diploma of Mathematical Sciences (statistics and stochastic processes) from The University of Melbourne.

In his spare time...

Nelson is a sports enthusiast who enjoys watching basketball, tennis, mix martial arts and motor-racing. He also enjoys travelling the world to continue his attempt in finding the best restaurants.
