Nick is passionate about applying his background in philosophy, economics and politics to understand and resolve complex problems.
His experience cuts across multiple sectors and capabilities, bringing a strong skillset in research, stakeholder engagement and analysis. He enjoys building collaborative relationships with clients, helping them understand their challenges and working together to create practical solutions.

Influential Work

  • Undertook a cost-benefit analysis of a large Australian Government innovation program as part of an impact evaluation
  • Supported a major law enforcement agency to develop its new approach to policing and undertook financial modelling to support the budget submission to government
  • Developed a strategic framework for an Australian Government department to create sector capacity and capability uplift via a newly created regional network of staff
  • Co-designed a competitive bid from a consortium of community health providers to deliver a Victorian Government mental health initiative costing more than $100 million
  • Advised a Go8 university on strategic options for its health clinic, involving financial modelling of the clinic and analysis of different ownership and governance arrangements.

Outside of Nous

Nick is currently completing a Master of International Relations at the Australian National University (ANU), having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in philosophy) and a Bachelor of Economics (econometrics) from the University of Tasmania.

Prior to joining Nous, Nick worked in research administration and government relations at the ANU. He has also held volunteer and leadership roles for clubs and organisations in table tennis, the Tasmanian University Union, United Nations Youth Tasmania and Tennis Australia.

In his spare time...

Nick enjoys being active through social sports, hiking and skiing. He also loves reading non-fiction, learning languages and travelling.
