Tim White

Director

Tim is a former senior officer in Australia’s national security community who worked across Australia and overseas during a more than 17-year career.

He has extensive experience solving complex risk management and policy challenges for governments and organisations. Tim brings outstanding communication skills, analytical expertise and the energy and drive to work with clients to develop solutions for difficult problems to achieve critical priorities and make a better and safer world.

Influential work

Used relationship-building skills to assemble and lead multi-disciplinary teams comprised of intelligence, law enforcement, defence and other arms of government and industry to counter threats to Australians and Australian-owned global assets
Led inter-agency cooperation with Australian and international partners to inform government decision-making on security threats in Australia and Southeast Asia
Designed sophisticated risk management frameworks and security awareness programs that enabled government and industry to mitigate risk while enabling business priorities to be achieved.

Outside of Nous

Prior to joining Nous, Tim had an outstanding career in Australia’s national security community, working across Australia and overseas – including a posting as Senior Liaison Officer at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta. He has extensive experience delivering solutions to complex and strategically challenging problems for governments and private organisations.

Tim holds a degree in political science and economics from the University of Queensland and a business degree majoring in communications from the Queensland University of Technology and is currently completing an MBA at RMIT.

In his spare time...

Tim enjoys skiing and hiking at Thredbo, playing golf at the Federal Golf Club and being constantly amused at how easily his three-year-old daughter twists him around her little finger.
