Background

Andrew is a registered psychologist who specialises in leader capability development. He uses his knowledge and experience as a psychologist, in combination with practical experience gained leading teams in a range of contexts, to assist leaders to improve capability, performance, and wellbeing in themselves, their team, and their organisation. As a psychologist, Andrew has worked in a range of government and commercial consulting roles, primarily in senior-leader capability assessment, development, and coaching.

Coaching philosophy

Andrew looks to create a coaching space and relationship that is open, flexible, and encouraging, where his clients value and look forward to working together. He is client-led in terms of agenda and takes the time to understand context and considerations. He seeks to explore issues, opportunities, challenges, strengths, exposures and people, and to do so constructively with evidence, balance, and from a range of perspectives. He seeks clarity around intent and ambition and explores options to produce appropriate outcomes in a robust, pragmatic, and solution-focused manner, considering both what needs to be done and how best to go about doing it.
