Background

Simon has over 20 years of coaching experience and success in senior leadership roles from a wide range of industry sectors. Simon has deep experience in leadership development for public sector and financial organisations. During his time as a coach, he has conducted several 360 debriefs for EL2 and SES leaders across ACCC, AER and the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry.

Effective coaching is about supporting and further building your ability to develop greater perspective taking capacity and think critically about how you are experienced by others. Becoming aware of your impact is a key area of focus in the way that Simon coaches. His aim is to support you in making the impact you want to have on purpose.

Coaching supervisor

Simon has trained as a coach supervisor at Oxford Brookes university in the UK. He provides both individual and group supervision to coaches in private practice. His supervision is rooted in evidence-based coaching psychology.  

Success stories

  • Coaching executive leaders as a part of the NSW Leadership Academy, developing leaders’ program, People Measures and Nous Group, specifically in New South Wales Treasury 
  • Coaching for executive leaders across NSW for AbSec the NSW Child Family and Community Peak Aboriginal Corporation, building strategic thinking and strategies to better navigate complex relationships 
  • Lead facilitator to build trust and engagement across AbSeC, conducting 40 face-to-face interviews with team members and administering the Gallup Strengths Finder and used themes from interviews to shape and craft interventions 
  • Coaching for senior executives for the Diocese of Broken Bay, focusing on leading the team through a large-scale restructure and transformation 
  • Worked as a registered nurse and has coaching experience working with clients with a disability 
  • 85 per cent of Simon’s coaching clients are women and he has extensive expensive in coaching female leaders in primary and tertiary education, including at the NSW Department of Education and Macquarie University
