Alex is an experienced consultant and project manager, with a deep interest in health and human services.
Alex works in Nous’ public policy practice, combining her clinical and consulting expertise to influence service and system design, policy reform, strategic planning and evaluations. She brings over six years of clinical experience to this role, having previously worked in tertiary hospital settings across Melbourne and the UK.
Influential work
Developed a National Model of Care for victim-survivors of FDSV, leading engagements with children, young people, and their families, cross-agency and sector engagements as part of a national consultation process
Supported state and territory efforts to prepare for Foundational Supports, including analysis of both current and future state service delivery models
Completed a broad scale outcomes evaluation of younger people in residential aged care (YPIRAC) policy
Led the development of a four-year mental health strategic for a state health department to refine and sequence mental health reform priorities
Outside of Nous
Prior to joining Nous, Alex worked as a speech pathologist in tertiary hospitals across Melbourne and in the UK. She has clinical experience across the continuum, most recently having worked in ICU throughout the COVID-19 response.
Alex completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University.
