With an academic background in history and political science, and experience working in stakeholder engagement, strategy and research, Alfie brings a well-rounded and holistic approach to problem analysis and solution development.

Developed new strategies for member engagement at a national peak body, overcoming long-standing challenges reaching young employees and leading to a significant uptick in efficiency
Completed on-site engagement as research liaison for a leading university publishing house, working with multiple stakeholders in regional Victoria to source and quality-control historical images and citations for a recently published historical monograph
Led a team of thirty-five students in a public art competition, culminating in the construction of a temporary large-scale sculpture
Advised volunteer phone campaigners for the Voice to Parliament ‘Yes’ campaign
Conducted original archival research exploring the impacts of regulatory variation between states on cross-border consumer behaviour and societal change
Outside of Nous
Alfie is an accomplished drummer, performing and recording in several jazz and rock bands in Australia and Europe. While completing his undergraduate studies he also managed a community jazz big band.
Alfie previously worked at a national peak body focussed on membership engagement, outreach and advice. He was recognised on the Dean’s Honours List in 2023 for exceptional academic achievement in his Bachelor of Arts.
In his spare time...
Alfie enjoys playing drums and performing live, as well as listening to a wide range of musical genres. He also loves the outdoors, taking opportunities to rock climb, hike and swim in the ocean whenever possible.
