Influential work

  • Developed an evaluation strategy for an Australian Government cost of living relief program, leading program logic modelling and the design of key lines of enquiry to assess the program’s effectiveness and delivery
  • Conducted a Training Needs Analysis for a federal department on national security, identifying skill, capability and ICT gaps that informed actionable insights and recommendations to strengthen cooperation and security.
  • Enhanced performance reporting systems for several government departments, designing and implementing solutions to uplift the transparency and legislative compliance of clients’ performance reporting
  • Supported Indigenous and First Nations aged care providers with financial analysis and grants administration, contributing to the delivery of essential healthcare services in remote communities by administering federal and state grant funding
  • Secured funding for critical Commonwealth infrastructure, developing a detailed business case that successfully secured funding for a national infrastructure project

Outside of Nous

Before joining Nous, Axel worked in McGrathNicol's Government Advisory practice and provided consulting services to a wide range of Federal Government clients.

Axel holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the Australian National University. During his studies, he completed an exchange program at Aarhus University School of Business.
