Casey specialises in helping organisations navigate major technological shifts, through building appropriate strategies, translating them into meaningful actions, and evaluating whether those initiatives create real-world change.
He is particularly focused on enabling organisations to effectively and responsibly leverage Artificial Intelligence, pushing to ensure that initiatives move beyond ambition and deliver genuine, measurable impact through practical, manageable steps.
Influential work
- Helped a major Australian university design and implement a responsible AI framework, with practical tools and structures to assess, implement and manage AI solutions
- Managed the delivery of an extensive consultation process for the Commonwealth’s Aged Care Data and Digital Strategy, lead the subsequent development and drafting of the strategy, and developed a roadmap and action plan for implementation
- Managed large, multi-year evaluations of federal health system reforms and state human services programs; including leading analysis of large, linked datasets and complex outcomes measurement
- Developed bespoke data and analytics strategies for federal and state government departments, aged care service providers, and other NFPs, translating organisational goals into practical steps, and building monitoring and evaluation capabilities to learn what works
- Built a range of dashboards and data solutions for clients across the New South Wales (NSW), Victoria, Queensland and Australian Governments, connecting organisational decision-makers with meaningful data from health, aged care, human services and youth justice
Outside of Nous
Prior to joining Nous, Casey managed the data and analytics function at BaptistCare NSW & Australian Capital Territory, where he developed the organisation’s data strategy and governance framework and created an enterprise data warehouse and reporting suite. He also drove many analytics initiatives, uncovering insights into the drivers behind high-quality care and organisational performance.
Casey holds a Graduate Diploma in ICT from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Sydney.
In his spare time...
Casey recently picked up landscape painting, though he also enjoys making music, playing or watching soccer, and has also been known to bake an excellent batch of cinnamon rolls.
