Casey Merrick

• Developed bespoke data and analytics strategies for federal departments, aged care service providers and other NFPs, including managing extensive stakeholder consultation processes and ensuring executive and board buy-in
• Managed large, multi-year evaluations of federal health system reforms and state human services programs; including leading analysis of large, linked datasets and complex outcomes measurement
• Built a range of dashboards in Power BI and Tableau for clients across the New South Wales (NSW), Victoria, Queensland and Australian Governments, incorporating data from health, aged care, human services and justice domains
• Led the overhaul, re-architecture and automation of multiple reporting and business intelligence suites, including building data pipelines using SSIS, ADF and MuleSoft; and established new data warehousing and storage solutions in SQL and Postgres.

Prior to joining Nous, Casey managed the data and analytics function at BaptistCare NSW & Australian Capital Territory, where he developed the organisation’s data strategy and governance framework and created an enterprise data warehouse and reporting suite. He also drove many analytics initiatives, uncovering insights into the drivers behind high-quality care and organisational performance.

Casey holds a Graduate Diploma in ICT from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Sydney.

Casey enjoys playing music (guitar, drums and keyboard), playing or watching soccer, and has also been known to bake an excellent batch of cinnamon rolls.
