Daniel draws upon his analytical skills and research background to deliver tangible solutions to complex problems for clients.
He has conducted research at the University of Melbourne and for the Reserve Bank of Australia, tackling important policy problems in an ever-changing economic environment. Daniel has also honed his strategic skills as a pro-bono consultant to not-for-profit organisations, with projects including developing sustainable revenue streams and social impact evaluation.

Influential work

  • Produced a research note studying driving factors behind the cash hoarding behaviour exhibited by Australian consumers, providing insights into non-transactional cash demand for the RBA
  • Authored an Honours thesis on the impact of monetary policy conditions on leverage in the Australian Private Equity industry, done by establishing policy transmission channels and econometric modelling
  • Led a project enabling a not-for-profit organisation educating students about environmental issues to reduce reliance upon government grants by diversifying their revenue streams, with a focus on a corporate partnership strategy
  • Facilitated the publication of 34 student-produced research articles, reaching over 10,000+ views and educating students on topical economic, geopolitical, and financial issues as the President of CAINZ (University of Melbourne)

Outside of Nous

Prior to Nous, Daniel worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia, supporting analysis and policymaking for the future of Australian cash usage. He has also interned at Evans & Partners, in Private Wealth Management and Equity Research.

While completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) at the University of Melbourne, Daniel undertook an exchange semester at the London School of Economics and worked as an academic tutor for third year economics tutorials.

Further, Daniel led at CAINZ (University of Melbourne) as President, overseeing a society of 75+ students focused on producing educational commerce-centric research articles and delivering careers-focused networking and up-skilling events. He also volunteered as Director of Partnerships at 180 Degrees Consulting (University of Melbourne), collaborating with leading consulting firms to support pro-bono student consulting projects aimed at solving strategic problems faced by not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises across Australia.

Daniel enjoys cycling, playing or watching soccer, as well as travelling and discovering new places.
